Poem

Highway Lines

Life’s moments tick like highway lines
En route, wisdom borne in subtle signs
Pay close attention for it is worthwhile
To see wondrous beauty in each mile
These sights arise in rote routine
So watch keenly at the window’s scene
The devil’s game is to distract
But ones discipline will counteract
Now keep on course throughout your trip
Stand mindful, thoughtful, well equipped
Note stories, lived by, held today
From the path, enjoyed, along the way
