Daylight's Promise

The longest sun of the season sets behind the cinder block scenery. A sign that the innocence of spring has been seduced—away with a sultry descent.

Though as the days get shorter, the sun turns back time and becomes young again! Her complexion softens and welcomes us to relive times long past and create times desperate to be had. While she bathes in our eagerness, we explore until, tomorrow, Daylight promises to return. She says she’ll visit but won’t be able to stay as long. And we concede. For seeing her splendor is to truly know satisfaction.
